The Fundamentals of Swimming Program
Coach Valentin's Fundamentals of Swimming program will help you understand how to co-existence with the water and finally GET IT. Understanding buoyancy and propulsion is the key to effortless swimming. Your coach will help you become aware of what your body is doing in the water. You will develop repeatable skills that help you build confidence. You will learn face-in-the-water-skills like holding your breath, controlling your exhalation, and inhalation. You will learn how to float in place on your front and back, recovering from the front and back positions. You will learn how to propel yourself with under-water arm strokes on your front and back. You will experience vertical floating/treading water in the deep end of the pool.
The Learn Freestyle Program
The coach's philosophies on learning Freestyle Swimming will help you build a stroke that is fluid and repeatable. Learn how to build a Freestyle Swimming Stroke that is repeatable and efficient. Your coach will teach you to understand, execute, and repeat the components of a Freestyle Swimming stroke. You'll start by learning to use the concept of buoyancy + propulsion to move down the pool with underwater techniques. Next, you'll learn how to float and kick on your side. Then, you'll use an under-over approach to roll on each side. Finally, you'll learn about keeping a catch on the water, arm recovery, and entry, all leading to 1,2 Breathe swimming. You will learn how to manage your breathing. How to catch the water and move passed a spot. You will learn efficient body positions that help you move freely through the water. You will learn how to feel the water on your feet to help you kick without getting exhausted.
The Endurance Freestyle Program
If you already know how to swim and want to learn how to become proficient enough to swim a mile or more without stopping, coach Valentin can help you with that as well.
Coach Valentin will help you become proficient enough to swim 20 laps without stopping. You will be introduce to drills that improve your comfort and technique, which will lead to effortlessly swimming across the pool. You will learn to improve your body position for efficient swimming, how to feel, catch, and hold onto the water,
You will learn how to practice body rotation to help use your core muscles to provide propulsion. You will learn how to incorporate rhythm, range and relaxation for longer, faster swimming.
Coach Valentin will help you become proficient enough to swim 20 laps without stopping.
